Northern Shore of Issyk-Kul • The Journey Begins Meet your guide at the airport or hotel — first introductions, excited eyes, ski gear packed into the vehicle. The road follows the legendary northern shore of Issyk-Kul, a lake that never freezes, even in the dead of winter. On one side — endless turquoise water; on the other — the snowy peaks of the Tian Shan. A striking contrast: open water below, eternal snow above. Stop at Kok-Moinok Canyon — your first taste of Kyrgyzstan’s “Martian” landscapes. Red and yellow rocks shaped by wind and time, an absolute silence broken only by the whisper of the wind. Then, an open-air petroglyph museum: ancient hunters carved animals, hunting scenes, and mysterious symbols into these stones thousands of years ago — a touch of eternity. Lunch in Cholpon-Ata — a cozy resort town overlooking the lake. Afterward, the road turns toward the mountains. Asphalt gives way to dirt roads; the car winds higher up the serpentine. The air grows thinner, the temperature drops, but the excitement builds. By evening, you arrive at the Karkyra Yurt Camp — a true oasis of comfort at 2,200 meters. White yurts lined up in rows, smoke rising from chimneys — the stoves are already lit inside. You’re greeted with hot tea and fresh boorsok (fried bread). Inside, thick felt walls, colorful carpets, and surprisingly soft beds await. Dinner in the mountains: steaming shorpo soup, fresh vegetables, homemade honey. Darkness falls, and the night sky explodes with stars — the Milky Way glows like a silver river above. Meals: Lunch, Dinner Accommodation: VIP Yurts in the Karkyra

Freeride in Karkyra • When the Dream Becomes Reality Wake up at dawn — the yurt is still warm from the night’s fire. Breakfast is hearty and hot: porridge, eggs, fresh bread, strong coffee. The instructor holds a briefing: safety, terrain overview, and mountain conditions. Equipment check — everything serious and professional. You’re transferred by special vehicles into the snowy wilderness. The road winds through vast white slopes where every turn reveals another breathtaking view. At the starting point, the instructor outlines the route and checks snow stability. And then — the first run. Skis cut into fresh powder; snow bursts into a shimmering cloud. For a few seconds, it’s just you, gravity, and silence. The slopes are untouched — your trail is the only mark on the blank canvas. The only sounds are the hiss of wind and your heartbeat. After several runs, your body remembers the rhythm, and fatigue mixes with bliss. Back to camp — time for relaxation. A traditional banya (sauna) heated with mountain herbs fills the air with aromatic steam. Run straight from the heat into the snow — skin tingles, heart races, energy surges. Then soak in a hot herbal tub under the stars. The water steams, the night sky shines — pure, absolute serenity. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Accommodation: VIP Yurts in the Karkyra

Second Freeride Day • Confidence with Every Turn By now, your body has adapted to the altitude and rhythm. Breakfast is lively — stories from yesterday, plans for new lines. The instructor knows countless hidden slopes where the snow stays perfect. Riding in Karkyra is more than sport — it’s moving meditation. Each turn is deliberate, each motion precise. The powder is so soft that even a fall feels like diving into a snow cloud. The sun climbs higher, casting a golden glow over the peaks. Evening in camp — calm and cozy. Board games, a movie, quiet talks. Some write in their travel journals, others just lie back on warm blankets, listening to the fire crackle in the stove. Outside the wind howls, but inside the yurt — peace and warmth. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Accommodation: VIP Yurts in the Karkyra

Third Freeride Day • From Fear to Pure Euphoria The routine now feels natural: breakfast, gear check, warm-up. Today’s terrain is more challenging — steeper slopes, deeper snow, wilder runs. After a day of high-adrenaline descents — the familiar ritual of banya and hot tub. Steam drives away fatigue; the hot water soothes your muscles. You sit submerged to your shoulders, mountains around you, stars above — completely present, free from thought. Evening conversations grow deeper. The group, once strangers, now feels like family. Mountains have a way of opening hearts. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Accommodation: VIP Yurts, Karkyra

Final Freeride Day • Folklore & Celebration The final morning of riding — bittersweet emotions. Sad to leave, but eager to make the most of every second. Breakfast is lively, full of laughter and plans for the last runs. The snowcat takes you to familiar slopes — each descent feels like art, your tracks a signature on a pristine canvas. Muscles burn, but the joy is overwhelming. The final run — pure magic. You want to memorize every sound, every glint of sunlight on the snow. Back at camp, a festive farewell dinner awaits. The big yurt is decorated; tables are full of national dishes. Then begins a folklore performance — musicians play ancient nomadic melodies on the komuz, dancers move gracefully in traditional attire. Laughter, dancing, applause — the perfect ending to a mountain odyssey. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Accommodation: VIP Yurts, Karkyra

Southern Shore of Issyk-Kul • From Frozen Silence to Warm Shores Breakfast and goodbyes to the camp. As you descend through mountain passes, the landscape shifts: snow gives way to green valleys, conifers to birch, and the air grows warmer. A city tour of Karakol reveals the region’s culture: the Dungan Mosque — a colorful wooden masterpiece built without nails — and across the street, a 19th-century wooden Orthodox cathedral. Two faiths, peacefully side by side. Lunch with a Uyghur family — the aromas of spices, warmth, and hospitality make it a highlight. Later, a visit to Barskoon Gorge — frozen waterfalls gleaming in the winter light. The sun refracts through the ice, painting shades of blue and turquoise. A short hike through pine forests, breathing in crisp mountain air. You’ll also take part in a yurt-assembly workshop — surprisingly simple once you understand the system. Hands-on, fun, and cultural. By evening, arrive at your hotel on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Accommodation: Lakeside Hotel, Southern Issyk-Kul

Fairy Tale Canyon & Eagles • Goodbye, Kyrgyzstan Breakfast, packing, and heartfelt goodbyes with new friends who now feel like family. Visit the Fairy Tale Canyon — a kaleidoscope of red and orange sandstone formations shaped like towers, arches, and mythical creatures. The sun plays across the rocks, creating a surreal, dreamlike scene. Next, witness an eagle-hunting demonstration — an ancient Kyrgyz tradition. The majestic bird, with a wingspan of up to 2.5 meters, perches on the hunter’s arm before soaring into the sky and diving at his command. You’ll feel its power as it lands on your arm — an unforgettable moment. Finally, a stop at the Shatyly Panorama viewpoint — the entire Issyk-Kul Lake stretches before you, turquoise waters framed by snow-capped peaks. The perfect spot for final photos and deep breaths of mountain air. Drive back to Bishkek in reflective silence. Upon arrival — transfer to airport or hotel. Farewell hugs, promises to return, maybe next winter — to these same mountains. You leave with more than memories — a piece of the mountains stays with you: the scent of snow and pine, the taste of mountain tea, the sound of the komuz, the warmth of the yurts, and above all — the pure feeling of freedom on the white slopes of Karkyra.
